The winger scored an incredible treble in the space of 14 minutes as Chelsea thrashed Wolves 6-2 on Sunday. And it was fitting that Madueke should be the one who led the demolition as just hours before he had insulted the city of Wolverhampton in a damning Instagram story.

"Calling an entire city shit before proceeding to drop a hattrick on their football club the next day. Madueke might have to walk out of here with bodyguards," wrote user @LyesBouzidi10 on X, formerly Twitter.
X user @StokeyyG2 added: "How’s Madueke said Wolves is a shithole and then bagged a hattrick against them…That is ULTIMATE DISRESPECT."
NBA star @JoshHart of the New York Nicks also got in on the act, writing: "Yea Madueke really hates Wolverhampton."
X user @Tgarratt10 wrote: "Madueke telling you your city is a dump then slapping 2 against you is excellent Sunday viewing. Fuck the Wolves."
@FuadCadani said it would have been better if Madueke had not deleted his story. "LOOOOOOOL Madueke should’ve left that IG story up and stood on business!" he wrote.
Chelsea's official X account could not resist joining in with the glee but offered a more positive spin, writing: "He's starting to like this place."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Madueke risked offending Wolverhampton residents the night before the game with a cheeky Instagram story. "Everything about this place is sh*t," he wrote. He quickly deleted the post, but not before social media users had screenshotted it. The English forward then admitted he had intended to make the post on his private account, not his official account.

The 22-year-old had warmed up for the trip to Molineux by scoring a stunning goal in Chelsea's 2-0 win over Servette in their UEFA Europa Conference League play-off first leg. Madueke was left out of the starting line-up for Chelsea's Premier League opener against Manchester City last week but his recent performances mean he should be nailed on to start the Blues' next league game against Crystal Palace.
