Fans were in no doubt just how bad Sheffield United were on Monday. Lemferjerome wrote on X: "Sheffield United is the worst PL team OAT.. Proper statpadding from Arsenal. Did not expect anything from this match. The only thing that matters is what we do in our games because it's in our on hand.Win at Anfield we're on top. Beat Arsenal we're 4pts clear of them."
Another X user Matt_Rowney said: "I’m sorry but even though they’re not gunna end up with less than Derby’s 07/08 side who only finished with 11 points. This Sheff Utd team are definitely in the conversation for the worst side in Premier League history."
Culturecams added: "Sheffield United gotta be the worst team in the last 15 years to ever play in the Premier league."
Ehimen_junior explained why Chris Wilder's side were definitely worse that Derby: "Sheffield United is the worst team in Prem history, atleast Derby put up a fight. These players go on the pitch and freeze.

Senior football writer Isaac Johnson wrote on X: "I know Derby points-wise are the worst team in PL history but I’ve never seen a team get thumped as often as Sheffield United have been Arsenal have been good but #sufc have been absolutely atrocious and a joke."
Dominic King at the Daily Mail was also amazed by the hosts' performance: "This is a contender for the worst half of football I've ever seen from a Premier League team. Arsenal are fantastic, of course, but they aren't being tackled, there's no running, there's no atmosphere and no competition. It's an embarrassment."
Meanwhile, John Bennett at BBC Sport said: "Sheffield United this season are a good advert for missing out on promotion & having a bit of fun in the Championship for a while."
